An exciting opportunity to join the long standing and expanding Strathmore Hotels Ltd, a family owned Business operating 8 Hotels together with Strathmore Travel Ltd, a coach tour company based in East Kilbride, Glasgow.
Experience of Sage 200 is required as is an advanced understanding of Excel and related spreadsheets. The position involves maintenance and accuracy of the control accounts, internal control procedures, monthly/annual accounts, liaison with the Board of Directors, and preparation of accounts for audit purposes.
The individual will be flexible, capable of working on their own initiative and able to interact at all levels.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the key duties of this role are,
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts in a timely manner
Preparation of full PL Accounts
Preparation of Budgets
Preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT returns
Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Analysis
Monthly Cash Flow forecasting
Monthly Account reconciliations
Various Ad Hoc Control processes
Profile
· Financial and numerical skills including high levels of accuracy and analytical skills
· Excellent communication skills - verbal written
· Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
· Good organisation skills and an excellent attention to detail
· Working with hotel/hospitality accounts would be a benefit but not a necessity
· An ability to mange time effectively and have a pro-active approach to work
· Willing to work from East Kilbride office
