ROLE OVERVIEW
The Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. This role plays a key part in preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and producing financial reports to support decision-making across the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
Operate general accounting processes to be compliant with SOX and the required internal control processes
Accurate financial reporting for general accounting related items
Review and approve manual journal entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation
Lead and manage the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and resolution of outstanding items
Manage the preparation of accurate balance sheet and cash flow reports to support global reporting and consolidation requirements
Collaborate with the team in Brazil to execute month-end close processes and support other key initiatives
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparing audit documentation and responding to auditor queries
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and other departments to provide financial insight and support
Participate in process improvements and contribute to system enhancements and automation initiatives
Manage and develop a direct report to ensure alignment with team goals and performance expectation
QUALIFICATIONS
University Degree
Preferable working towards a professional accounting designation (CPA)
5 years relevant experience in financial statement accounting close and preparation of statements
Microsoft Office, Strong Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of SAP financial system
Strong understanding of Internal Controls and the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley
Experience in leading, managing and mentoring staff
