About The Opportunity
A consulting firm operating in the Financial Services & Payments Technology sector, serving enterprise and fintech clients across India and APAC. We deliver payments controllership, reconciliation, and finance-transformation services that ensure accurate settlement, compliant reporting, and strong controls.
Primary title: Finance Manager - Controllership (Payments)
Role & Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end payments controllership: manage daily payment processing oversight, month-end close for payments-related ledgers, and delivery of timely financial reporting.
• Own bank and payments reconciliation processes: resolve exceptions, investigate variances, and drive first-time-right reconciliations across multiple banking channels.
• Design, implement and maintain internal controls and SOX-compliant process documentation for payment flows, approvals, and segregation of duties.
• Partner with Treasury, AP/AR, and Banking teams to optimise cash flows, manage liquidity touchpoints, and support bank relationship tasks (confirmations, statement mapping).
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives: define requirements for ERP configurations, reconciliation tooling, RPA pilots, and payment gateway integrations.
• Coordinate audits and regulatory reporting for payments operations; mentor and manage a small team of payment/accounting specialists.
