The Technical Sales Engineer serves as the critical technical interface between customers and the organization's engineering, product development, manufacturing, and sales teams. The role is responsible for understanding customer applications, translating technical requirements into viable product solutions, and ensuring seamless communication throughout the sales cycle.
This position requires strong technical expertise, customer engagement capabilities, problem-solving skills, and commercial awareness to support business growth. The incumbent will provide application engineering support, facilitate product customization, manage technical discussions, resolve customer challenges, and contribute significantly to achieving business objectives through improved gross margins and revenue generation.
The role acts as a trusted technical advisor to customers while supporting internal stakeholders in delivering innovative, cost-effective, and technically superior solutions.
Technical Expertise & Support
Provide in-depth technical knowledge and assistance to customers for both standard and custom-engineered products with respective product line.
Customer Relationship Management
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring effective communication throughout the sales and support process.
Product Customization and Integration
Facilitate the customization and integration of products to meet customer requirements, ensuring seamless implementation and functionality.
Problem Solving
Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges, offering innovative solutions and troubleshooting support to optimize product performance.
Sales Support and Business Development
Collaborate with the sales team to support customer engagements, identify new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth through technical expertise and solution-oriented approaches.
Training and Knowledge Sharing
Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions to internal teams and customers, ensuring comprehensive understanding of products and technologies for effective utilization and support.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
• 5+ years of experience in Technical Sales, Application Engineering, Product Support, or Customer Engineering.
• Strong customer-facing, problem-solving, communication, and technical coordination skills.
