Fiber Field Engineer – ACT Fibernet Job Title: Fiber Field Engineer / Fiber Technician Company: ACT Fibernet Location: As per business requirement Experience: 1–4 years Employment Type: Full-time Job ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot FTTH/GPON fiber networks . Handle fiber cable laying, routing, termination, and restoration. Perform fiber splicing for 12F, 24F, 48F and higher-core cables. Conduct OTDR testing and identify fiber faults, cable cuts, and signal issues. Troubleshoot ONT/ONU, OLT, splitter, patch panel and related network equipment . Attend customer and network complaints within the assigned area. Perform preventive maintenance and ensure network uptime. Coordinate with the NOC/team for major fiber faults and restoration. Maintain proper documentation of installations, repairs, and fiber routes. Travel to different locations as required for field activities. RequirementsITI/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Telecom or a related field preferred. Hands-on fiber splicing experience is mandatory. Experience in FTTH / GPON / Fiber Optic Network preferred. Knowledge of OTDR, power meter, fusion splicing and fiber fault finding . Must be comfortable working outdoors and travelling locally. Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
