Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fencer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with fencing projects, site preparation, and general labour tasks across various construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and experience with construction tools and techniques. This position offers an opportunity to develop versatile skills in the construction industry while contributing to high-quality project completion.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation of fences according to project specifications and blueprints
Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up materials, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Perform concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work as needed for fencing foundations or related structures
Assist with carpentry tasks including cabinet installation, framing, and caulking
Read schematics and blueprints to accurately execute project plans
Support restoration projects involving painting, flooring installation, tile laying, or electrical work as required
Measure and estimate materials needed for fencing and construction tasks
Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the project duration
Requirements

Prior experience in construction or related trades preferred; experience with masonry, welding, plumbing, or electrical work is a plus
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, and masonry techniques
Familiarity with construction estimating processes is advantageous
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labour for extended periods
Ability to work safely in a dynamic construction environment following all safety regulations
Valid (or equivalent) certification preferred but not required
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various construction tasks

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
