Experience: 2 Years of Relevant Experience
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-Toed Safety Boots
Work Environment/Conditions: Field Work (in all weather conditions), Work Environment Exposes the Employee to High Levels of Noise, Grease, and Dust that is Typically Associated with a Construction Site
Physical Capabilities: Physically Demanding; Lifting, Bending, Crouching, Kneeling
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with an asphalt crew, poses strong communication skills, a high level of enthusiasm, enjoy working in a team environment and have the ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities
As an Asphalt Laborer, you will play a critical role in supporting and assisting the construction team with achieving their business objectives with the following responsibilities:
• Assist Foreman/Operators whenever needed
• Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
• Load or unload construction materials
• Operate and care for construction equipment
• Put together and take apart temporary structures
• Remove, move, fill, or compact earth, debris, asphalt and/or concrete
• Perform site clean-up
• Follow instructions from Supervisor(s)
• Follow all company health and safety requirements
• Work as a team member and communicate respectfully with coworkers
Area of Specialization: Asphalt
Requirements
• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels
• Physically able to lift up to 50-80 lbs
• Willingness to work overtime
