Job description
This role will require working in a diverse range of settings including but not limited to, a person’s home or place of residence, other services, community groups and other community settings.

We aim to make a long-term difference in the lives of our participants and their families and carers. We’re seeking Personal Carers to deliver outstanding care to our residents in Melbourne.
You’ll provide care to your clients living in our residential home, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life through activities that include:
Daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, help at meal times and general mobility
Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
Domestic duties such as meal prepation and cleaning
Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments
You must have the following in order to be considered:
Must have your own a fully insured and reliable vehicle
Completed the NDIS Check
Current police check (must be within 6 months from the date of application)
Cert III in Disability or above or equivalent experience (minimum 1 year experience)
A current Working with children check
First aid/CPR certificates (current)
Full and clean Australian driver’s license
Be punctual
Be reliable and flexible (must have availability)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest to work in this field
The ability to self-supervise and to remain calm and composed at times of crisis
Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us. To be employed by mypal home care, you will be required to complete the free NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement and provide a copy of your certificate on completion.
