Job Description
We're Hiring: Merchandiser-Designer QB Men (Quintessential Basics) QB is one of India's distinctive menswear labels, built on a simple thesis the market had ignored — prints for men. From our signature Ganganagry kurtas to oversized Hawaiian and Cuban shirts, every piece at QB starts with a print, a fabric, and a point of view. We're looking for a Designer–Merchandiser to join us at our Jaipur studio and work directly with the founder on building the next chapters of the brand.
About the Role This is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of design and merchandising. You will own the journey of a product from mood board to dispatch — conceptualising prints and silhouettes, finalising fabrics, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring every piece that reaches the customer reflects QB's standards.
Key Responsibilities - Design seasonal collections across kurtas, shirts, co-ord sets, and jackets — with a strong focus on digital prints and textile development
• Build and manage the seasonal range plan: SKU mix, price architecture, fabric stories, and category depth
• Develop tech packs, source fabrics, and oversee sampling end-to-end
• Coordinate production with printing units, fabricators, and stitching vendors across Jaipur and beyond
• Track WIP, quality, and delivery timelines to ensure on-time launches
• Work closely with the founder on creative direction, costing, and merchandising calls
• Stay close to trends, customer feedback, and bestsellers to inform future drops What We're Looking For - A degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related discipline (NIFT/Pearl/NID/Symbiosis or equivalent preferred)
• A genuine eye for print, colour, and men's silhouettes
• Hands-on understanding of fabrics, print techniques (digital, screen, reactive), and garment construction
• Comfort with vendor coordination and the realities of production in Jaipur
