Job Description
We are looking for a talented and visionary Fashion Designer to join our innovative team at Jisora. As a Fashion Designer, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing and developing cutting-edge clothing collections that embody our brand ethos and captivate our diverse audience. From sketch to runway, you will play a key role in shaping the future of fashion at Jisora.
Responsibilities:
• Design Conceptualization: Develop creative concepts and themes for seasonal collections, drawing inspiration from cultural influences, trends, and brand identity.
• Sketching and Prototyping: Create detailed sketches and technical drawings of clothing designs, bringing concepts to life and ensuring accuracy in construction.
• Fabric Selection and Draping: Select appropriate fabrics and materials for each design, considering factors such as texture, drape, and sustainability.
• Pattern Making: Develop patterns for garments, overseeing the construction process to achieve desired fit and silhouette.
• Color Coordination: Curate cohesive color palettes that complement design themes and resonate with target demographics, ensuring harmony and visual impact.
• Sample Development: Oversee the creation of garment samples, collaborating with pattern makers, seamstresses, and textile designers to achieve desired results.
• Fit Sessions: Conduct fit sessions and make necessary adjustments to prototypes, ensuring garments meet quality and fit standards.
• Trend Research: Stay abreast of emerging trends, innovations, and consumer preferences in the fashion industry, incorporating relevant insights into design concepts.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including textile designers, merchandisers, and marketing specialists, to bring collections to market successfully.
• Presentation: Prepare cohesive presentations showcasing design concepts, mood boards, and sketches, effectively communicating vision and inspiration to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing original designs and creative flair.
• Proficiency in sketching, pattern making, and garment construction techniques.
• Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and sourcing practices, with a focus on sustainability.
• Strong understanding of color theory, silhouette, and proportion.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• Passion for fashion, creativity, and innovation.
