Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented member of our Finance Team specialising in Credit Control, Accounts Administration, and Freight Forwarding. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate account records, and supporting the organisation’s financial operations. This position offers an opportunity to utilise your expertise in accounting software and analysis skills within a dynamic environment committed to excellence in financial services.

Duties

Manage credit control processes by monitoring overdue accounts and following up with clients to ensure timely payments
Perform data entry tasks accurately within Xero and our freight platform
Assist with accounts payable functions, ensuring all invoices are processed correctly and promptly
Maintain comprehensive records of transactions related to freight forwarding activities
Support accounts administration by preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and maintaining organised documentation
Conduct analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or potential improvements in credit management procedures
Liaise with clients via phone using professional phone etiquette to resolve account issues and facilitate collections
Collaborate with the team when necessary to support client outreach initiatives related to outstanding payments
Requirements

Proven experience within a finance environment specialising in credit control and accounts administration
Proficiency in Xero accounting software
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of financial services, freight forwarding processes, and accounts payable procedures
Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data effectively
Outstanding phone etiquette and communication skills for client interactions
Experience with telemarketing or client outreach is advantageous
Ability to work independently whilst being a collaborative team player
Organised approach with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently
This role is ideal for a motivated finance professional seeking a challenging position that combines technical expertise with excellent organisational skills.

Pay: £34,420.00-£45,000.00 per year
