Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and repair skills, enabling them to effectively install, maintain, and repair garage doors. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently while ensuring high-quality service for our clients.

Responsibilities

Install and repair garage doors, openers, and related components.
Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure functionality and safety.
Troubleshoot issues with garage door systems and provide effective solutions.
Read and interpret blueprints to understand installation requirements.
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations.
Restore or replace damaged components as necessary.
Communicate with clients regarding service needs, options, and recommendations.
Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Skills

Proficiency in carpentry techniques is highly desirable.
Experience with flooring installation is a plus.
Ability to build and weld components as needed for repairs.
Strong skills in blueprint reading for accurate installations.
Familiarity with hand tools essential for construction tasks.
Knowledge of restoration techniques for garage door systems.
Experience in construction painting to enhance aesthetics when required.
Capability to plumb installations accurately for optimal performance.
Proficient in caulking applications to ensure weatherproofing.
