About the Role
As a dynamic and forward-thinking Executive Officer/Director of Nursing (EO/DON), you will provide strategic and operational leadership for nursing and midwifery services at Maitland Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage nursing/midwifery services with responsibility for multiple budgets and funding sources.
Develop and implement systems to evaluate and improve clinical practice standards and service delivery.
Provide strategic oversight of inpatient, dialysis, aged care, and emergency services.
Drive innovation in service delivery and effectively manage change to achieve organisational goals.
Oversee local clinical and support services, with the potential to manage a second health service.
Essential Criteria:
Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia registration (or eligibility).
At least 5 years of post-registration experience in nursing/midwifery.
Qualifications or extensive senior management experience in finance and leadership.
Proven expertise in implementing new systems, leading significant change, and managing personnel, finances, and strategic planning.
Strong ability to innovate and lead change in a healthcare environment.
