Do work that matters:
As Executive Manager Procurement IT Services, you will take responsibility for supporting the source to contract process across the IT Services category, which includes a panel of suppliers that supports the Bank’s Technology professional services and workforce needs, including application service providers. Reporting into the Head of Technology in Group Procurement, you will lead a team of six located in Australia and India and support business stakeholders in engaging suppliers across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.

You will join our Group Procurement (GP) team, a team that supports Commbank to deliver leading practice procurement. GP manages all activities across the procurement lifecycle, namely – business strategy; execution negotiation; implementation transition as well as performance governance.
On any given day you will:
Lead and direct the creation, implementation and delivery of an end-to-end category strategy
Lead and direct the team to proactively manage, understand and develop competency in business category requirements. These include:
business category requirements
broad and specific business objectives
the supply market in detail including leading practice and technology trends
spend analysis, demand drivers and demand management strategies
risk and appropriate risk mitigation strategies
negotiation tactics and strategies
contracting approaches
Lead teams to deliver on agreed targets and objectives through the implementation of strategic or tactical procurement strategies/plans
Lead the team to develop effective performance management strategies across all sub-categories and major suppliers in line with the Supplier Lifecycle Framework and in collaboration with the key business owners
Identify metrics, tools, strategies and processes to optimise procurement and continually drive productivity
Lead teams to ensure supplier transition/implementation is managed efficiently and effectively per bank policy and procedure
Your experience looks like:
Extensive end-to-end category management experience and managing of large spend in a complex environment
Excellent problem solving and decision-making ability
Advanced understanding of leading practice procurement technology
Exceptional ability to manage and influence stakeholders and work collaboratively with customers and suppliers
Strong capability in procurement related risk management
Strong leadership and/or people management skills
Knowledge of the local and international technology services landscape would be highly advantageous
Ability to think laterally and develop new and innovative solutions to problems
A collaborative mindset to develop a collaborative culture within their team
