The Ministry of Immigration and Career Training has two exciting and rewarding opportunities for organized, energetic and motivated individuals with strong communication skills to provide administrative leadership within the Deputy Minister’s Office. One position will report to the Executive Director of the Communications Branch, and the other will report to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Immigration, Settlement and Credential Recognition. In this role, you will be an integral member of a busy, dynamic and high-performing team and will manage, plan, prioritize, organize and coordinate their business and operations. This will include, but is not limited to:
ensuring accurate financial records and reporting and coordinating fiscal forecasts.
monitoring, preparing, distributing and reviewing correspondence, casework, referrals and briefing materials.
establishing administrative policies, procedures and processes.
liaising between Human Resources, accounting, property management and other departments/branches/agencies as required.
effectively manage executive’s calendar and coordinate meetings.
Your knowledge of office management procedures, policies and protocols, records management, and budget processes along with your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues, senior officials and clients, and focus on solutions and continuous improvement will be key to your success in this position.
