Executive Coordinator, Development and Communications
(Part-Time, 20 hrs/week)
The Opportunity
Bright Promise is seeking a highly organized and mission-driven leader to serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Director and a key support to the Director of School Health. This role sits at the intersection of executive support, donor engagement, and communications, helping expand access to flourishing Christian schools across Chicagoland. Bright Promise is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening Christ-centered schools. What You’ll Do
Executive Coordination (Executive Director)
Manage calendar, scheduling, and meeting preparation
Support board and leadership communications
Track priorities and ensure follow-through on key initiatives
Support for Director of School Health
Coordinate scheduling, meetings, and key initiatives
Assist with tracking school partnerships, visits, and follow-ups
Support organization and communication related to school health initiatives
Help ensure alignment and execution across the Measure, Invest, Grow, Celebrate framework
Donor Systems & Development Support
Maintain donor database (Bloomerang) with accuracy and consistency
Track gifts, pledges, and engagement activity
Support donor stewardship (acknowledgments, follow-ups, reporting)
Help ensure no donor relationship falls through the cracks
Special Projects & Events
Coordinate logistics for various donor and school events
Manage invitations, timelines, and follow-up
Support key organizational initiatives
Communications
Draft and schedule donor updates and email communications
Assist with newsletters, basic marketing materials, and social media
Ensure clear, consistent messaging aligned with mission

Details
20 hours/week (flexible schedule; some event availability)
Chicago-area based (hybrid/in-person for events)
What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months)
Executive Director and Director of School Health are both highly supported and focused on highest-value work
Donor system is clean, current, and actively used to drive engagement
Donors receive timely, thoughtful communication and follow-up
School partnerships and initiatives are well-coordinated and on track
Events are well-executed and relationally meaningful
Core communications are consistent, clear, and mission-aligned
Pay: $25.94 - $31.24 per hour
