Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file excise tax returns accurately and timely. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local excise tax regulations
• Assist with excise tax audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Prepare periodic reports on excise tax liabilities and payments. Provide insights and recommendations for improving tax compliance and efficiency
• Work closely with other departments, to ensure excise tax compliance across all business operations
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve excise tax processes and procedures. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Assists in recording business activity for each fiscal period
• Participate in other general ledger projects and duties as assigned
• Assists in supporting the annual audit
Qualifications: Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
Qualifications: Experience
• 2 + years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• CPA or similar certification is a plus

• Critical business analysis skills that help improve efficiency in business processes
• EXCEL user with proven experience using advanced formulas
• High level of personal integrity
• Persistent in moving projects to completion
