Event Marketing & PR Assistant
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Event Marketing & PR Assistant to support the planning and execution of events, marketing campaigns, and public relations initiatives. This role plays an important part in strengthening brand presence, fostering stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of both internal and external events.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and a passion for events, marketing, and public engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events, promotional activities, and marketing campaigns.
Coordinate event logistics, including venue arrangements, registrations, suppliers, and event materials.
Prepare marketing and public relations materials, including presentations, promotional content, and press releases.
Support social media and digital marketing initiatives related to events and campaigns.
Liaise with media partners, sponsors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
Assist in maintaining positive relationships with clients, community partners, and industry contacts.
Monitor campaign and event performance and prepare post-event reports and recommendations.
Provide on-site support during events and ensure activities are executed smoothly and professionally.
Assist with administrative tasks related to marketing, communications, and event management.
Contribute creative ideas for future events, campaigns, and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or a related field.
Previous experience in marketing, event coordination, communications, or public relations is preferred.
Experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing activities is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaborative tools
Skills and Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and project management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to support occasional evening or weekend events when required.
