Sea Sydney Harbour (SSH) is an award-winning business operating in the tourism, hospitality, and boat charter industry on Sydney Harbour. We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented Experience & Event Coordinator to join our team.

Our services include private charters, ticketed harbour cruises, tours, and group transfers, delivered across our diverse fleet for ******** group sizes.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Experience & Event Coordinator, you will manage the planning and coordination of private and ticketed cruises from initial enquiry through to delivery on the water.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives on organisation, customer service, and variety. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, and crew to ensure every cruise runs smoothly and meets our high service standards.

Training and support will be provided, with the goal of you confidently managing the day-to-day coordination of cruise experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responding to enquiries and selling Sea Sydney Harbour services
Coordinating bookings, schedules, and maintaining accurate records
Generating invoices, monitoring payments, and ensuring all bookings are paid in accordance with company terms
Planning cruise logistics including vessel selection, wharf bookings, catering, activities, and outsourced services
Preparing and presenting some catering as required
Liaising with suppliers, partners, and crew
Conducting vessel inspections and pre-departure checks
Managing customer feedback, complaints, and compliments
Identifying up-sell opportunities and contributing to increased bookings
Managing business social media accounts and assisting with marketing initiatives
Assisting with team events and internal activities
Attending meetings with or on behalf of management
Assisting with refining company procedures and processes
General administration and office support
Other reasonable tasks as required in a small business environment
ABOUT YOU:

You are organised, proactive, and customer-focused, with a strong attention to detail. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering high-quality experiences.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in event coordination and planning
Interest in events, tourism, and/or boating
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational, time management, and administrative skills
Ability to work calmly under pressure
Proficient in using Mac computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience using Xero is advantageous but not essential
Reliable, professional, and positive attitude
Willingness to assist across a range of tasks
RSA Certificate (or willingness to obtain once in the role)
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS:

Based in Pyrmont, Sydney
Work from home for the right candidate
Full-time: Monday to Friday
Part-time: days vary between Monday to Saturday
Occasional alternate hours may be required
At times, acting as a crew member onboard vessels may be required
