They play a critical role in the pre-construction or manufacturing phase by preparing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ), developing competitive bids, and identifying cost-saving opportunities to ensure project profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesTender & Bid Preparation: Analyze tender documents, blueprints, and client requirements to formulate comprehensive cost estimates and proposals.Quantity Take-offs: Perform detailed material take-offs to accurately assess and compile the quantities needed for the project.Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Float inquiries, evaluate supplier quotations, and negotiate commercial and technical terms to source the best rates.Cost Analysis: Maintain updated databases of pricing structures, labor rates, and overheads.
