Engagement Assistant - paid pro-rata for 18 hours per week (£24,796 FTE)
Home-Start Wessex has a wonderful new opportunity for someone to join our communications team to support the delivery of our PR, community engagement and marketing plans.
Home-Start is a charity that supports families in times of crisis, offering guidance, advice, friendship and practical help to parents with young children across our local community. You will therefore need to be passionate about wanting to help parents experiencing a range of difficulties and contribute to giving children the best possible start in life.
The role will involve supporting the development of our website, maintaining a high-profile prescence on our social media, undertaking marketing and promotional activities, supporting fundraising and awareness campaigns, attending community events, and carrying out administrative duties as appropriate. It will focus on the creation of engaging, high-quality digital content, including video, photography, graphics and written content for social media channels, ensuring our website is regularly updated, and assisting with campaigns to support fundraising.
Closing date: Monday 10th August 2026
The post will primarily be community-based, with regular visits to the office in Kinson, Bournemouth so a car driver is essential
