We are hiring for the position of Electrical AutoCAD Draftsperson. The successful applicant will be a team player with a strong work ethic who is eager to work in electrical drafting and design. This position has a great opportunity for advancement in a small but expanding company. This is a full-time position with a competitive starting wage dependent upon experience.
We are an Electrical Consulting firm providing professional electrical design services for new multi-family residential and commercial construction projects.

The primary role of this position is to assist with completing detailed design layouts / Electrical Floor Plans under the supervision of other Team members. The role will be predominantly working with AutoCAD.
Responsibilities will include:
Drafting and/or design of electrical building plans, including lighting, power, life safety and telecommunications using AutoCAD 2015.
Creating PDF files from AutoCAD 2015.
Coordinating design requirements with other discipline drawings (mechanical, architect, etc.).
Communicating with design team and clients via email, telephone or in person in a professional manner.
Work with AutoCAD to create external references (Xrefs) for use within Electrical Template Files.
Managing multiple deadlines and communicating work load with other team members.
Knowledge of AutoCAD profiles, customisation, creating custom ribbons, menus, etc. an asset.
Requirements:
Operational knowledge of AutoCAD. Certificate / Diploma in AutoCAD Lt, AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD is an asset
Operational knowledge of Windows and Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Familiarity or experience with REVIT and/ or MEP is an asset
Knowledge of Electrical design, residential design and/ or lighting design is an asset
