About the position

This role includes supporting academic staff to identify and resolve accessibility issues, building capacity in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, and reporting on the Learning Management System (LMS) accessibility enhancements.

Key responsibilities involve leading the implementation and organisational adoption of a new LMS accessibility assessment tool, ensuring accessible student-facing content, and serving as an escalation contact for technical or specialist queries. The role also requires developing solutions and procedures, setting priorities, managing workflows, contributing expert advice to policy development, and preparing reports on accessibility progress at various levels within the University.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, capable of working independently and within a team, and proficient in a range of computer software applications. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are required, with a strong customer service orientation and a focus on solutions. Analytical and problem-solving abilities are also crucial.

A comprehensive understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles is necessary, along with experience working with academic staff to enhance their practice and a background in Education Design.
