The opportunity
Cocoon Early Learning Centre located in Kareela is seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a trainee. This is a full-time role that will provide you with the opportunity to kickstart your career in the dynamic and rewarding field of early childhood.
As a trainee, you will have the chance to learn and grow alongside our experienced educators, while working towards your formal qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and nurturing environment, as you work to develop the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in this industry.
You will receive 3 hours paid study time per week to work towards your Certificate III.
Key responsibilities
Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate educational activities for children
Provide high-quality care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
Collaborate with the wider team to maintain a clean, organised and stimulating learning environment
Participate in ongoing professional development to continuously improve your skills and knowledge
Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their growth and development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
Enthusiasm for learning and a willingness to undertake formal training to obtain your qualification
Excellent organisational and time management skills
A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one

We pride ourselves on providing the highest standards in early childhood education, with a focus on life skills, fun, friendship, and positive experiences. We've recently completed an exciting renovation and opened a brand-new 4–5 year-old room, expanding our vibrant learning environment.
