Dishwasher / Prep Cook (Full-Time, 2-Year Term)
Location: Iqaluit, NU
Property: Frobisher Inn
The Frobisher Inn is seeking a motivated and reliable Dishwasher / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time, two-year term position that combines both dishwashing and food preparation responsibilities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
About the Role
This hybrid position supports daily kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness and assisting with food preparation. You will play a key role in maintaining kitchen efficiency and supporting our culinary team across multiple outlets.
You may be scheduled to support various food and beverage outlets within the Frobisher Inn, including:
The Frob Eatery (full-service restaurant)
Carbrew Café (quick service / coffee shop)
Storehouse Bar & Grill (casual dining and lounge)
Key Responsibilities
Perform dishwashing duties, including cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dishwashing areas
Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., chopping, portioning, ingredient prep)
Support cooks and chefs with daily kitchen tasks
Follow all health, safety, and food handling standards
Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries as needed
Qualifications & Skills
Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
Willingness to take direction and support multiple kitchen functions
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Employment Details
Status: Full-Time, Two-Year Fixed Term
Hours: Flexible scheduling required
Location: On-site in Iqaluit, NU
Compensation: Hourly (based on experience)
Additional Information
Subsidized staff housing is available, including relocation to Iqaluit
