Job Overview:

The Director of Projects is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of multiple projects within the company. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of office interiors, civil and the ability to manage interior office projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will excel in ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while also being skilled in negotiation to achieve the best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:
• Lead and manage all phases of project development, from initial planning and design through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Ensure projects are completed in alignment with company standards, industry regulations, and client expectations.

Interior Oversight:
• Manage and oversee all aspects of interior projects, ensuring alignment with design specifications.
• Supervise the execution of interior layouts, materials selection, and quality control to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Adherence to Company Standards:
• Establish and enforce company-wide project management standards, including quality control procedures, safety protocols, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of ongoing projects to ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
• Continuously improve project management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Vendor Management:
• Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, ensuring that they meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
• Monitor vendor performance, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project timelines and budgets.

Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance evaluations, identify skill gaps, and provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
• Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with the company’s values and goals.

Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for senior management providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare and present detailed project reports, including financial performance, schedule adherence, and quality metrics.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
• 15+ years of experience in project management, with a strong background in Office Interiors.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects, including budget control, schedule management, and quality assurance.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software, such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with vendor management best practices and contract negotiation.
