Develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue growth across all outlets
Ensure FB concepts align with the hotel's brand identity and create a unique, luxurious guest experience
Oversee menu development in collaboration with the Executive Chef, ensuring culinary excellence and innovation that reflects local culture and trends
Monitor and manage FB budgets, including cost control, labor, and forecasting, while maximizing profitability
Maintain exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in all areas of FB operations
Build and nurture relationships with local suppliers, curating exceptional offerings from regional producers
Drive staff training programs that focus on service excellence, food and wine knowledge, and team development
Work closely with the sales and marketing team to create promotional events and packages that drive FB sales

Santa Monica Proper Hotel is seeking a dynamic and motivated Director of Food and Beverage to join the team at our 267-room property featuring interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool, and 24,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for overseeing the entire food and beverage division, including restaurant outlets, bars, in-room dining, catering and banqueting. This key role ensures the highest quality of service and presentation, while driving profitability and creating memorable guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a deep understanding of luxury service and the creativity to continually innovate and enhance our FB offerings.

Key Responsibilities
