As a Director, Fund / Client Accounting Manager at BNY, you will be responsible for leading a Fund Accounting area comprising multiple teams to provide accounting services for a diverse range of clients. Your role will involve determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports. You will oversee the financial and human resources for the unit, ensuring that assigned teams operate effectively to meet unit goals and objectives. Additionally, you will be involved in executing business plans, contributing to functional strategy development, and setting guidelines for determining the net asset value for funds in various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct multiple teams conducting accounting services for assigned clients
- Ensure effective operation of assigned teams to meet unit goals
- Contribute to the development of functional strategy and execute business plans
- Set guidelines for determining net asset value for funds and ensure consistency across product areas
- Manage client relationships and resolve any client issues
- Participate in sales efforts, including RFP and RFI preparation
- Provide oversight in setting processes to check for completeness and accuracy of disclosure in financial statements
- Analyze GAAP and/or IFRS rules to ensure compliance with new regulations
- Recruit, develop, and motivate staff to maximize their contribution and professional growth
- Manage multiple Fund / Client Accounting teams and contribute to achieving team objectives
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience
- 15 years of total work experience with 7-8 years in management preferred
- Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred
