The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating innovative and visually stunning digital prints that align with the brand’s aesthetic and production capabilities. This role requires a deep understanding of textile design, an eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Digital Print Design: Develop and create original digital print designs and placement prints that align with the brand’s identity and current trends.
• Fabric Expertise: Apply a strong understanding of various fabric types and their interaction with digital printing techniques to ensure high-quality design outcomes.
• Trend Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about the latest trends in digital printing, fabric innovations, and colour palettes, incorporating these insights into your designs.
• Design Execution: Prepare detailed design files and technical specifications for production, ensuring designs are print-ready and meet industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product developers, manufacturers, and other design team members to ensure the seamless translation of digital designs to physical products.
• Sampling and Prototyping: Oversee the sampling process, ensuring that digital print samples accurately reflect the design vision and meet quality standards.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the production team to ensure that the final printed products meet design specifications, colour accuracy, and fabric quality requirements.
• Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of creativity and precision.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in textile print design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital and placement printing.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant tools.
• In-depth knowledge of digital printing processes, colour theory, and fabric properties.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of colour, pattern, and texture.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality designs.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the fashion industry is a must.
• Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly printing practices.
• Experience with CAD software and 3D design tools.
