Forest City Surplus is currently looking for a web design assistant and graphic designer for our busy Internet Sales and Marketing department. Forest City Surplus has been an industry leader in online marketing for 30 years.
The candidate will assist in creating web pages for products and banner ads. Graphic design will be used in creating posters and flyers for the store. Please note that this is an in-house position, and the work is to be done on-site at our London, Ontario store. The majority of the duties in the position will involve adding products to our website and everything that job requires (taking and quickly editing photos, quickly removing shadows and backgrounds from those photos, writing sales copy, adding entries into our content management system, adding search keywords, etc.). The successful candidate is a digital salesperson making web pages to sell products virtually. We are always getting new products from new surplus deals, so we constantly need new product pages.
Applicants will also be responsible for creating banner ads, online ads, posters, and print and electronic flyers using Adobe InDesign and Mailerlite. Here is a chance to show your creativity and design sense!
Skills and Experience Required: Knowledge of basic HTML is required. Basic Photoshop and Photo Editing Skills are required. Experience with Adobe InDesign is also required. As this is a team environment, applicants must be able to work with others and receive and act on direction from supervisors.
