Position Overview
Job Title: Associate Engineer (Associate)
Location: Pune
Role Description
This role is for Associate Engineer responsible for design, development and unit testing software applications. The candidate is expected play a techno functional role to work closely with Senior Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure good quality, maintainable, scalable and high performing software applications are delivered to users in an Agile development environment. He / She should be coming from a strong technological background. Should be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal technical/tool guidance. Should be able to technically guide and mentor junior resources in the team. Work closely with team members and vendor team to design and develop software. Should have good communication skill and strong positive outlook. This role would require some degree of team handling.

Your Key Responsibilities
Technical
• Designs and develops application code based on functional specification and given architectural design in the area of data collection, validation, enrichments and adjustments
• Reads and understands FSD’s and writes corresponding TDD’s
• Maintains and enhances configurable components
• Designs and creates test cases for new functionality and for regression
• Performs defect fixing in all test cycles
• Ensures that the code passes daily build, deployment and smoke tests
• Promotes re-usability of existing components and contributes to the creation of frameworks, supports stability and performance improvements
• Supports appropriate technologies to be used
• Provides support with Level 3 operational support for incidents, problem/root cause analysis
• Reviews Code, TDDs and other development supporting documents
Management and Supervisory
• Work closely with Stakeholders and other teams like in an agile delivery frameworks
• Able to communicate with senior stakeholders in technology and business
• Provide functional and technical guidance to junior-level developers
Your Skills And Experience
• Should have 6-+ years of total experience on Java/J2EE, Spring Frameworks.
• Strong fundamentals in good design principles/patterns/frameworks
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in core Java
• Experience within Spring, Hibernate, EJB and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Service Orientated Architecture or Micro Services.
• Web Services experience e.g. REST / SOAP.
• Experience with Front end technologies GWT, Angular.
• Exposure on Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) including testing frameworks (Junit, Cucumber, and Selenium).
• Understanding the full Software Development lifecycle experience in Agile Delivery Model
• Experience with distributed version control tool (Git, Git-hub, Bit-Bucket).
• Experience within Mavens or other CI system.
• Experience developing on OpenShift Container Platform or Public Cloud.
• Good knowledge of Oracle DB features such as objects, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, SQL and PL/SQL
• Good knowledge on Unix commands and environment
• Good understating of principals to maintain legacy code, experience of supporting legacy code
• Understanding of CI process & tools, automated testing, Agile delivery context and passionate about delivering high quality software. Familiarity to Jira
• Ability to analyze data, identifying gaps, issues, patterns and trends
• Ability to analyse application dependencies and conduct impact assessment of changes
• Strong fundamentals in good design principles/patterns
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Very good team player
• Ability to work under pressure and overtime to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Quick learner, pro-active and innovative
Nice to have
• Exposure to Capital market domain
• Familiarity to ALM
• Understanding of data warehousing and reporting as well as Oracle Security best practices
• Working with global and distributed teams.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Hadoop framework
