• Works closely with project engineers.
• Produces plan & profile drawings, perspective drawings, overlays, base drawings, map and illustrations, using AutoCAD. Prepares quantities and cost estimates.
• May be expected to design portions of a project.
• Makes calculations, using engineering formulas & skills.
• Use catalogs to specify items where original design is not required.
• Instructs drafters how to reduce designs into completed drawings.
• Performs research and writes reports.
• Perform research and writes opinions.
• Use computer to run standard programs in order to solve engineering problems
• May write special programs to resolve unusual engineering problems.
• Must be familiar with computer-aided design.
