Part 2 Architectural Assistant - Bristol, London or Reading (2026)
Job Description
We are looking for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant to be based in either our London, Bristol or Reading office, joining our 2026 Graduate Programme. You will join a supportive and successful team with exciting career opportunities, gain client exposure and professional development, and work in an innovative and collaborative environment.
You will have the opportunity to work on projects including community, residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across the UK. The team’s clients range from landowners and developers to Local Authorities, Registered Providers and national house builders.
This is a fantastic opportunity to put your design skills into practice. You will support the team by contributing to the design process across the RIBA work stages, helping to deliver information packages including drawings and reports (e.g., design and access statements) in a collaborative team environment. You’ll work with a Project Architect and use design software such as Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp to create visual presentations and diagrams. You will be a key part of the design process, helping to take projects from initial ideas to approvals and construction. You will also learn to analyse sites and the surrounding area to ensure your designs fit well, and you will collaborate with other disciplines across Stantec.
To be successful, you will ideally have experience on residential or mixed-use projects in the UK and have completed your Masters (Part 2). You’ll work with design information packages and contribute to design and access statements. A strong creative eye and excellent communication skills are essential, along with knowledge of building regulations. Willingness to learn new software or techniques is valued, with good organisation and time management, especially when juggling deadlines.
We are an RIBA-chartered practice and will provide you with the necessary support to progress toward becoming an Architect.
If you have a passion for good quality place making and would like to further your professional design experience, we want to hear from you.
About you:
At Stantec, we value potential over prior experience. Along with a minimum of a completed MArch (Part 2 accreditation), you will be:

• An Adapter: Able to remain calm in new situations, comfortably switching between a variety of dynamic tasks.
• An Innovator: You will enjoy thinking of new ideas as well as improving current ways of working.
• A Striver: Demonstrating ownership, consistently delivering on tasks and objectives, motivated to make a real difference.
• A Multi-Tasker: Able to manage more than one task at a time with attention to detail.
Please note, graduates are asked to come into the office 4 days per week to ensure sufficient time with the team and appropriate support.
What we can offer you

• Private medical insurance
• A range of benefits, including holiday buy and sell, group income protection and life assurance
• Permanent employment contract to demonstrate long-term commitment at Stantec
• Professional progression plan to support chartership
