Role Description This is a full-time Design and Development Engineer role based in Coimbatore, offered in a hybrid work model that allows some work from home while requiring regular on-site collaboration. The Design and Development Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing heavy-duty shredding machinery and related components, translating customer requirements and material characteristics into robust mechanical designs. Daily activities include preparing 3D models and detailed drawings, performing design calculations, supporting prototype development, and coordinating with production and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and performance. The role also involves conducting material trials, participating in testing and validation of new designs, documenting design changes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives for existing products. The engineer will collaborate closely with R&D and cross-functional teams to enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency across Maxin India’s product range.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to heavy-duty machinery and industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in Machine Design and Product Design, including 3D CAD modeling, detailed drawing creation, and design calculations for rotating and structural components.
• Experience in Testing and validation of mechanical systems, including performance evaluation, reliability assessment, and troubleshooting of design issues.
• Background in Research and Development (R&D), with skills in concept development, prototyping, and iterative improvement of industrial products.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials selection, and tolerance standards relevant to heavy-duty machinery.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and collaborate effectively with production, quality, and service teams.
• Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and work in a structured, detail-oriented manner.
