Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Department Manager / Head Cashier role based in Modinagar. The role involves overseeing daily department operations, including product display, inventory checks, and ensuring adherence to store policies and standards. The Department Manager / Head Cashier will supervise cash counter activities, manage billing accuracy, handle cash and digital transactions, and ensure reconciliation at the end of each shift. Responsibilities include guiding and training team members, addressing customer queries, resolving issues promptly, and coordinating with management to meet sales and service targets. The role also involves monitoring stock levels, supporting merchandising efforts, preparing basic reports on sales and cash flow, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
Qualifications
• Experience in retail or fashion store operations, preferably in a supervisory or cashier-led role.
• Strong cash-handling abilities, familiarity with POS systems, and attention to detail in billing and reconciliation.Solid customer service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, handle queries, and resolve conflicts professionally.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management, merchandising principles, and store layout optimization.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and maintain a collaborative work environment.
• Comfort with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Excel, store management software) for reporting and record-keeping.
• Good numerical and analytical skills to monitor sales, cash flow, and department performance.
• Minimum of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or a related field is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site in Modinagar, including weekends and peak retail hours as required.
