Delivery Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations. A background in commercial driving or warehouse experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Qualifications

Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred.
Previous experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is an advantage.
Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety standards.
