We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Database Engineer/Administrator to join our team. You will work alongside experienced professionals to maintain, optimize, and secure our databases while gaining hands-on experience with modern database technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems.
Monitor database performance and ensure high availability.
Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports.
Troubleshoot database issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Maintain database security, user access, and permissions.
Support application teams with database-related requirements.
Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Participate in database upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle is a plus.
Understanding of database design concepts and normalization.
Basic knowledge of data backup and recovery concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to learn new database technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Relevant internships, academic projects, or certifications are an advantage but not required.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Knowledge of cloud databases (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Basic understanding of Linux/Windows server environments.
