The Engineer – Data Analytics and Applications role is responsible for developing and supporting secure software applications, data workflows, and analytics. This role will initially assist with API and UI development of existing tools. Over time, the role will expand into dashboarding, ETL/data engineering, and data science/ML/AI enablement to turn connected product and operational data into actionable insights.
This position reports to the Pall Computational Team Manager and is part of the R&D department. This role will be located in Pune, India and will be an on-site role, coordinating primarily with teams in the US and some groups in Europe and Japan.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
Support the development, testing, and improvement of secure IoT software applications, including API, UI, backend, and workflow functionality. Help prepare connected product software for penetration testing by supporting issue resolution, security documentation, validation, and application readiness activities. Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics workflows that turn connected product, operational, and engineering data into actionable insights. Build and support data workflows that improve access to structured and unstructured data across applications, analytics, and reporting use cases. Enable future data science, machine learning, and AI capabilities by preparing datasets, supporting model development and integration, and helping teams apply advanced analytics to real-world business and engineering problems. Inherit, understand, and improve a legacy codebase by supporting ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, refactoring, documentation, and modernization efforts while ensuring continuity of existing application functionality.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience developing or supporting software applications, APIs, user interfaces, data workflows, or analytics tools. Proficiency with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript Familiarity with SQL, data visualization, and application environments hosted or deployed on AWS. Strong communication skills, with fluency in English.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Connected product, IoT, or secure cloud-based software applications.
• Developing dashboards, reports, analytics workflows, or data visualization solutions.
• Data science, machine learning, AI, or generative AI enablement, including dataset preparation, model integration, or applied analytics.
• ETL, data engineering, or data preparation workflows involving structured, unstructured, connected product, operational, or engineering data.
