Job Description
Database Administrator
Must-Have Skills : PostgreSQL and SQL Server
Years of experience : 5 to 7 Years
Shift Time : 11 AM to 8 PM and 12 PM to + PM
Employment Type : Full Time

Responsibilities :
• Major areas of work will be performance, scalability, reliability, security, backups, replication, disaster recovery, etc.
• Ensure databases are sized to provide optimum performance / cost.
• Design & maintain database backups, archiving, DR testing, and storage strategies.
• Security - IAM and provision the right level of access.
• Analyze and performance-tune SQL Queries.
• Help with database design, debugging, implementing and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, archiving data, optimizing queries, and indexing.
• Implement and support Azure SQL sharded SaaS multitenant environments.
• Ensure database versions are current and fully patched and monitored.
• Monitoring, setting up alerts for thresholds, building and supporting HA clusters.
• Manage on-premises and cloud databases.
• Manage Database change control.
• Identify potential issues in the database to solve them early.
• Manage user access and permissions by adding and removing users as required.
Qualifications and Skills Required :
• Extensive experience with Postgres & SQL Server.
• Ability to architect a performant web platform.
• Automate DBA tasks and perform regular health checks and performance tuning.
• Min 5 years’ experience.
• Maintain the performance, security, and availability of databases.
• Set up monitoring and other activities.
• Strong knowledge of database design, administration, architecture, views, indexes, triggers, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning.
• Skilled with backup utilities.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with how to set up ETL processes and automation.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, self-starter.
• Ability to find, research, and propose solutions to complex issues without guidance or direction.
• Ability to collaborate across teams within the organization
Bonus Experience and Skills :
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure.
• ORM experience.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Redshift.
