Database Administrator

• Should have experience as a database specialist in Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience and expertise with Microsoft SQL database development, Microsoft SQL networking and Data Partition.
• Database monitoring and health check along with exposure on Brent Ozar.
• Experience in database administration, like fragmentation checks including daily backups and recovery, re-index operations, update statistics, and other system commands such as DBCC and DMVs.
• Exposure on configuring and managing SQL Server, High-availability data solutions, Log shipping, Mirroring,and Data Synchronization Solution Replication.
• Good knowledge of designing for database files and layout for tempdb.
• Basic SQL knowledge and DBMS conceptual knowledge is required.
• Performance tuning of key queries.
• Identify and write best possible code in case of new deployments or when rewriting or while migrating to newer version of SQL Server.
• Experience in database security and auditing.
• Experience monitoring multiple databases; database performance management and tuning.
• Experience in performing database migrations; experience in analyzing current database performance and making projections for future growth.
• Exposure to Azure for transferring backups , maintaining azure SQL & storage account.
