They will develop predictive algorithms to solve complex business challenges. They will also be required to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and drive data-driven decisions. They are analytical and creative, and don't quit. Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Data Scientist at Amazon, you'll work with vast datasets to drive insights that influence key business decisions, providing technical leadership to cross-functional teams of scientists, product managers, and engineers.

Your expertise in machine learning, advanced analytics, and data visualization will be essential in transforming complex data into actionable business intelligence. This role demands both technical excellence and business acumen, as you'll own the complete lifecycle of analytical solutions - from conception to implementation and optimization.

You'll be instrumental in:

Developing sophisticated machine learning models and analytical frameworks
Creating scalable solutions that enable data-driven decision making
Leading strategic initiatives through quantitative analysis and insights
Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements
Building and maintaining analytical tools that drive business efficiency

You will build scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of data scientist experience
3+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience
Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
Experience in a ML or data scientist role with a large technology company

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
