This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to develop their dance skills.
Duties
Educate students in various dance styles, ensuring lessons are tailored to their skill levels and interests.
Develop and implement creative lesson plans that promote both technical skills and artistic expression.
Conduct classes in a safe and supportive environment, encouraging student participation and confidence.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their technique and performance.
Organize and lead rehearsals for performances, ensuring all students are well-prepared.
Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall curriculum and student experience.
Engage with parents regarding their child's progress and address any concerns or questions they may have.
Requirements
Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
Strong background in dance, with proficiency in one or more styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop).
Previous experience in classroom management or tutoring is a plus.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles is beneficial for working with younger students.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey instructions and feedback.
Ability to create a fun, engaging atmosphere that fosters learning and creativity.
