The House of Sunita Shekhawat is a luxury high-jewellery house in Jaipur, with a growing digital presence across our main site (sunitashekhawat.com) and our Museum of Meenakari Heritage site (momhindia.org). Digital is a genuine strategic priority for us, and we build on a modern stack and use AI tooling like Claude Code and MCP workflows every day on real production work.

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to take on the day-to-day building and maintenance of these websites, dashboards and automation. You will start with small, well-scoped tickets, learn our stack through code review, and grow into larger pieces of work over time. This is a launchpad on a small, trusting team, not maintenance work hidden away. Above all, we want someone who is a quick learner, flexible, and eager to pick up new tools and skills as the work grows.

What you'll do

You will not be expected to know all of this on day one. You will start with the smaller, well-scoped pieces and grow into the rest through review.

· Build and edit content, blocks and small features in Payload CMS (our headless, Postgres-backed CMS) for sunitashekhawat.com, momhindia.org and other brand-related properties.

· Render new sections and components on the frontend in Next.js 15, React and TypeScript, and fix layout, styling and responsive bugs. Much of this is done with AI tooling like Claude Code, so what matters most is strong fundamentals: enough depth to read, review and correct AI-generated code with confidence, rather than writing every line by hand.

· Keep our automation and scripts running: maintain existing Python and Playwright jobs, fix breakage when selectors change or tokens expire, and help with light analytics checks (for example, confirming Meta Pixel and GA4 events fire correctly).

· Run QA on Vercel preview deploys, do cross-device checks, then trigger and smoke-test production builds once a pull request is approved.

· Work in a clean Git and GitHub flow: branch, commit in small focused steps, and raise well-described pull requests with screenshots or preview links.

What we're looking for

You should be able to pick up small, well-scoped tickets and carry them to a clean pull request with review. We are looking for roughly 1 to 2 years of professional experience, so you are past the fresher stage but still early in your career. You do not need to tick every box below, and you certainly do not need to know our whole stack on day one.

Must-have

· Around 1 to 2 years of professional experience building or shipping web and React applications.

· Working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript: comfortable reading and writing typed code.

· React fundamentals (components, props, state, hooks) and basic Next.js (routing, data fetching, and deploying to a host like Vercel). Our codebase is Next.js 15 on the App Router, so exposure to modern Next is a plus.

· Solid HTML and CSS, including responsive, mobile-first layout.

· A working Git and GitHub workflow: branches, commits, pull requests, resolving merge conflicts, and responding to review.

· Basic debugging discipline: read the error, reproduce it, use browser devtools, and ask good questions when stuck.

· Clear written communication for pull request descriptions and status updates.

Nice-to-have (genuine bonuses, not requirements)

These are things you will learn here, so treat any of them as a plus rather than a bar. One or two is a strong signal.

· Payload CMS or any other headless CMS.

· Basic SQL and a sense of how database migrations work; PostgreSQL exposure.

· Vercel or Railway deployment experience, and basic environment and secrets handling.

· Twenty CRM or other self-hosted tools.

The details

· Location: In-office, at our flagship and HQ: Shekhawat Haveli, E-141, Sardar Patel Marg, C-Scheme, Jaipur 302001. Being on site means in-person mentorship and close proximity to the work, which is a genuine part of the offer.

· Employment: Full-time, permanent role.

· Timings: Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM IST, in office.

· Compensation: Competitive, based on experience, and benchmarked to the Jaipur market for your level.
