Hays has partnered with a thriving business within the aerospace industry and is looking for a candidate with highly developed interpersonal skills and stakeholder management skills to join their team on a part-time basis.
Your new role
Monitor customer accounts for timely payments and proactively manage overdue accounts
Negotiate settlement with debtors
Negotiate payment plans for customers to settle their debates over an agreed period
Use automated systems to send reminders before and after payment due dates. Automated reminders help reduce manual follow-up efforts and ensure consistency in communication.
Improve and implement debt collection processes for overdue invoices or payments and initiate legal procedures if necessary
Prepare regular reports on credit status and debt collection efforts
Report overdue accounts, payment trends and credit risks to senior management
Respond to customer email and phone enquiries relating to charges
Meet with customers regularly in person to build rapport
What you'll need to succeed
Strong understanding of credit management
Minimum 3–5 years experience in credit control, debt collection or a similar role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Proven ability to negotiate payment terms and manage client relationships effectively.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in reviewing financial information
Ability to independently identify and resolve issues related to credit control
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
