Job Title: Counter Sales Assistant – Bournemouth

The Company

Our Client is a leading independent plumbing merchant dedicated to providing high-quality plumbing products and exceptional customer service.

The Role
• As a Counter Sales Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing expert advice and exceptional service.
• Greet customers, understand their needs, and provide knowledgeable assistance in selecting plumbing products.
• Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system, handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products and services we offer, including new and existing inventory.
• Assist in managing stock levels, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and conducting regular inventory checks.
• Ensure the sales counter and store are clean, organized, and well-presented, with products displayed attractively.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and handle returns or exchanges efficiently and courteously.
• Work closely with the sales team and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Experience
• Previous experience in retail, sales, or a customer service role, preferably within the plumbing or construction industry.
• Basic understanding of plumbing products and tools is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items and stand for extended periods.
• Friendly, approachable, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Moorland Bournemouth

Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience.

Working hours are: 7.30am to 17.00pm Monday to Friday and 08.00am to 12.00pm every third Saturday.
