Costing Engineer HVAC

Job Summary: As a Cost Engineer specializing in HVAC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of HVAC projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to estimate, monitor, and control project costs. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing project profitability and minimizing financial risks.

Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Estimation: Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.
• Cost Control: Implement cost control measures to ensure projects stay within budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose cost-effective alternatives when necessary.
• Change Order Management: Evaluate and process change orders, ensuring they are properly documented, priced, and approved. Assess the impact of changes on project costs.
• Vendor and Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate with HVAC equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Cost Reporting: Generate regular cost reports and updates for project stakeholders, including management, highlighting key cost trends, risks, and deviations from the budget.
• Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety.
• Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with contract requirements related to costs and financial reporting.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, invoices, contracts, and cost-related documents.
