Job Description
As a Plant Accountant at our MedTech manufacturing facility in Zydus Medtech Park, Matoda, Ahmedabad, you will be responsible for end-to-end plant accounting, cost management, and financial control activities to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Your role will involve driving cost efficiency, supporting pricing decisions, and providing insights for operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day plant finance operations including accounting, inventory valuation, and month-end closings in SAP.
- Prepare and analyze standard costing, variance reports, and gross margin analysis.
- Monitor and analyze inventory variances, yield, and cost absorption.
- Track production costs and stock movements through SAP modules.
- Prepare cost records and ensure timely completion of cost audits.
- Verify BOM/BOQ and recipe for cost estimate in SAP.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing for Costing and inventory valuation.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors on costing and inventory audits.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams for cost optimization.
- Support management with MIS reporting, budget tracking, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Ensure statutory compliance with GST, TDS, and cost accounting standards.
- Lead Quarterly Physical Verification of Inventory and ensure compliance with internal guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory audit for plant-related matters.
- Lead fixed asset verification and assist in capitalization.
- Conduct Capex ROI calculations as required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures and cost control mechanisms.
- Mandatory proficiency in SAP (FI/CO/PP/MM modules).
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- High attention to detail, analytical ability, and eagerness to learn.
Qualification Required:
- CMA (Cost and Management Accountant).
