Our dynamic and rapidly expanding organization is seeking an experienced and driven Consulting Cost Accountant to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing strategic financial insights, cost accounting services, and financial consulting to our clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, determining product costs, and preparing reports to aid in the decision-making process. This position requires a professional with a solid understanding of cost accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
Provide cost accounting and financial consulting services to clients.
Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports on findings.
Develop and implement effective cost accounting strategies and plans.
Determine product costs based on raw materials, labor, overhead, and other expenses.
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in financial data, expenditures, and investments.
Collaborate with financial team members and other professionals to consolidate and analyze financial data.
Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions to improve financial performance.
Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for clients.
Investigate and report any irregularities or discrepancies to management.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting or a related role.
Proven experience in analyzing, costing, classification, product costs, reporting, and variance.
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
