Cost Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and certified cost accountant to join our finance team at Nimbus Pipes Ltd. As a cost accountant, your responsibilities will include collecting, analyzing, and reporting on cost accounting data. This involves preparing standard cost reports, monitoring inventory levels, conducting cost comparisons, analyzing product costing, tracking variances, and making journal entries. You will also collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting processes.

Cost Analysis and Reporting

• Record manufacturing costs and prepare variance analysis comparing standard cost to actual cost

• Calculate and track the costs of goods sold, including labor, material, and production costs

• Prepare detailed cost reports and analysis to support operations and sales

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Assist in budget preparation and implementation of cost accounting systems/processes

Inventory Management

• Oversee inventory management including physical stock verification

• Establish product manufacturing costs and valuation of inventory

Cost Control

• Manage the overall costs associated with the operations of the manufacturing set-up

• Assist in the implementation of cost control measures and improve efficiency

Required Skills:

- Proficiency in MS Office

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent coordination skills

- Experience in standard costing, equipment/component costing, and variance analysis

- Proficiency in working in an ERP environment

Qualifications and Experience:

- Must be ICWA/CMA certified

- 2-3 years of industrial experience (preferably in a manufacturing unit)
