Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We are seeking a Corridor Access Coordinator Corridor Access Request (CAR) to manage the applications and issue Works Access Permits (WAP) to carry out work in the road corridor.

This is a key part of our team which is necessary to ensure that the proposed traffic management is appropriate for the road environment and ensures the safety of road users and road workers, ensure that the works are carried out in a manner that minimises disruption and inconvenience for road users and adjoining residents, and to avoid unnecessary disruption and cost through conflicts in the timing of work and to protect the integrity of the existing road and utility assets within the corridor.


Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

As well as having in significant experience in a position similar to that of a Corridor Access Coordinator, we are also looking for someone who has:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a transport operational role preferably with a focus on traffic management
Sound knowledge of the relevant codes and standards such as the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (COPTTM), Code of Practice for Working in the Road and the National Code of Practice for Utility Operators' Access to Transport Corridors.
Some knowledge of road maintenance and construction methods.
Exposure to the relevant legislation relating to transport and the carrying out of work in the road corridor such as the LGA, RMA, Utilities Access Act, Telecommunications Act, Electricity Act, Gas Act etc
Some experience in the use of RAMM.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
